Emergencies : Emergency Preparedness and Service Animals

Service animals are not pets. They may guide people who are blind, warn people with hearing difficulties about alarms or babies crying, pull wheelchairs or help people with autism.

In times of emergency, a service animal is especially important for its owner. They are allowed in shelters, clinics and other facilities related to the emergency, unless their behavior is a threat to safety.

Include your service animal in the family plan.
